Dental Implants – The Excellent Long-term Solution for Missing Teeth

Oh, no. You’ve lost a tooth. And, you’re not 6 years old.

Let us be your tooth fairy and help restore your confidence and smile.

So, what is a dental implant?  It’s a small, titanium post that is surgically installed in a prepared channel that is shaped in the jawbone to replace the roots of a missing tooth.  Now, don’t start worrying about the word ‘surgically.’ You can rest assure that our team is well experienced in the procedure and techniques involved. And the recommendation to consider a dental implant is only made after reviewing your health history, a comprehensive examination of the overall condition of your gums and jawbone, and a discussion whether the implant is right for you.

The process does, however, involve several phases determined by your own individual healing time, as the implant requires several months to become securely fused to the bone. The last step is to attach your new, perfect restoration to the implant. Restorations can take a variety of forms: single crown, multi-unit bridges, and full arch dentures. Some restorations are not removable, while others, such as many full-arch dentures, can be removed for sleeping and cleaning.

The beauty of implants, other than their look, is how they can benefit your overall well-being.

Not only do your implants feel and function like your own natural teeth, they help protect your jawbone from loss and deterioration by stimulating bone growth. And because they’re permanently embedded in your mouth, you never need worry about them slipping when you talk and eat, or where you might have misplaced them like you could with dentures.
